Catherine Bascoy has been voted out of A Fazenda 18, according to R7. The influencer finished third in a public vote against Gabriel Torres and Tina Calamba and left the Record reality show on Thursday, October 22, with just 13.98% of the ballots cast.
Her exit closes a stay that began quietly and turned turbulent within days. R7 describes a contestant who entered the rural format with few allies, then cycled through friendships, a romance and a series of confrontations before the public sent her home.
Why it matters
A Fazenda is one of Brazil's most-watched reality formats, and each elimination reshapes the alliances inside the house. Bascoy's departure removes one of the season's most talked-about figures, a contestant whose storylines drove much of the discussion around the show in recent weeks.
The result also settles a vote that had drawn attention before the official count. Exame had published a poll on which of the three nominees should leave, and CNN Brasil reported a partial tally suggesting the departing contestant would receive only around 10% of the vote. The final figure from R7 came in somewhat higher but confirmed a decisive rejection by viewers.
From a quiet start to a central figure
Bascoy's first days in the competition were reserved, according to R7. She grew close to Stephanie Gomes and Tina, and the three formed an early group. R7 reports that both women warned her about getting involved with fellow contestant Murilo Dias.
That involvement soon became a full romance. What started as small gestures of affection turned into a constant partnership after their first kiss, with the pair spending most of their time together. The relationship was not smooth: R7 reports repeated arguments over various issues, including Dias's displeasure when Bascoy was picked for certain tasks in the competition, such as caring for the mare. Despite the friction, the two stayed together.
Dias was also the route by which Bascoy joined the Alacateia group, the alliance that Jottapê assembled from hand-picked allies and later expanded to strengthen its position in the game. According to R7, the couple joined the group's signature howl, but Bascoy was reconsidered more than once because other contestants saw her as a weak link in the alliance.
Broken friendships and a manure prank
The turning point came with a rumor. After learning that her own friends were said to be considering her as a target for the Roça, Bascoy reacted sharply and cut ties with Tina and Ana Bruna, according to R7. The friendship with the model, which predated the show, did not survive the competition. From then on, R7 reports, their interactions consisted of jabs, shouting and face-to-face clashes.
Bascoy then took revenge in a way that became one of the season's most discussed incidents. She spread manure from the mare on the beds of Darlin Ferrattry and Ana, who were in the Baia area of the house. When the two discovered it, a major row broke out overnight, leading to a water fight, threats and a punishment, R7 reports.
The fallout made her the choice of Fazendeiro Alfredo Amaral for the first seat in the season's fifth Roça. She also competed for the "coroa caipira" but fell short, and the public vote ended her run.
Coverage of her time in the house has framed her in two lights: a princess to some viewers, an agent of chaos to others. UOL's recap of her trajectory highlighted both the romance with Murilo and the manure incident as defining moments.
A Fazenda 18 airs on Record from Monday to Sunday at 10:30 p.m., with round-the-clock camera access available through the RecordPlus streaming service.
The remaining contestants now return to the usual cycle of formation and nomination, with the Alacateia alliance facing fresh scrutiny over how it handles the loss of one of its more controversial members. Watch for whether the group tightens around Dias or begins to fracture without Bascoy in the house.
